Important: the 6 free museums on the Porto.CARD are free for everyone on Sundays anyway. If your stay is mostly a Sunday, the card saves you less.

Frequently asked questions

What is the Porto.CARD?
The Porto.CARD is the official tourist city pass of Porto, issued by ATP Porto e Norte. It gives free entry to 6 city museums and discounts of up to 50% at more than 130 attractions, tours, restaurants and shops.
How much does the Porto.CARD cost?
€7.50 for 24 hours, €12 for 48 hours, €16 for 72 hours, €18 for 96 hours. The price is the same for adults and children.
Is public transport included?
No — not anymore. The version of the Porto.CARD that included the Andante Tour Card for buses, metro and trains was discontinued in 2025. You need to buy an Andante Tour Card separately at the airport, Metro Trindade or São Bento station.
Is it worth it?
It depends. The official site says you can save up to €10 with a 1-day card, up to €22.50 with 2 days and up to €33.65 with 3 days — but only if you actually combine a paid boat tour, Clérigos Tower, Palácio da Bolsa or hop-on bus into your itinerary. Use the calculator on this page to check your personal case. If most of your visits would be free museums on a Sunday, the card saves you very little.
Are the days consecutive?
Yes. The card runs for 24, 48, 72 or 96 consecutive hours from the moment of first use. You cannot split the time across separate days.
Where do I pick it up?
Two official locations: the airport interactive tourist shop (Francisco Sá Carneiro, ground floor, public arrivals, 08:00–18:30) and the Porto Sé tourist office opposite the cathedral (09:00–18:00). Both are closed on 25 December.
Are there child or senior discounts?
No, the Porto.CARD has a single price for all ages. Discounts on the partner attractions still apply normally.
Can I cancel?
Yes — when buying through Tiqets you can cancel free of charge until 23:59 on the day before your selected date.
Will the museums I want to visit be open?
Most city museums close on Mondays. Many port wine cellars close on Sundays in winter. Always check the venue website for the day you plan to visit before activating your card.
Are the free museums really free anyway?
On Sundays — yes. The official Porto.CARD page confirms that the 6 free-entry city museums are also free for everyone without the card on Sundays. The card still helps on the discount partners (Clérigos, Bolsa, cellars, boat tours, hop-on bus).
